    From the website:

" Spatial ecology is the study of the interrelationship between organisms and their environment, with particular emphasis on the spatial nature of these interactions. Spatial analysis commonly requires the use of large, complex databases using software that is not specifically designed for ecological applications. The purpose of this site is to help bridge the gap between software, data, and the sophisticated spatial analyses that are needed in modern ecological research. "

To this end, an extension for ArcGIS 9.x with an array of tools dedicated to analysing trends in ecological datasets was developed. Useful for the biologist in all of us.
